Theology & Biblical Studies – FAQs

What is the main goal of this theology course?

The goal is for students to master the English Bible, memorize both the Westminster Shorter and Larger Catechisms, and be able to clearly defend the system of doctrine taught in Scripture.

Is this course suitable for younger students, or is it advanced?

While theological instruction begins early, mastery expectations increase with age. All students are guided according to their ability, with advanced students progressing toward full catechism memory and doctrinal defense.

What resources are used in the theology curriculum?

We primarily use the English Bible (KJV) The Westminster Catechisms, and classical Reformed theological summaries to train students in both understanding and articulation of biblical doctrine.

How is theological understanding assessed?

Assessment is mastery-based and includes Scripture memory, oral recitation of catechism answers, and the ability to verbally and in writing explain and defend theological truths.
