The Academy operates as a non-profit school in conformity with the laws of North

Carolina. It is governed by a Board of Christian men, and Principal Michael

Spangler serves as the Board Chairman.

The Homeschool Cooperative meets on Wednesdays from 8am to 12pm, with field

trips and sports offered other times Monday through Saturday.

The Boys’ School meets Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm.

Chapel is held Monday through Friday, 8-8:30am.

The school year runs from the Tuesday after the first Monday in September (Labor

Day), to the Friday before the last Monday in May (Memorial Day). Winter break is

the last full week of December through the end of the first full week in January. A

detailed schedule with other shorter breaks will be published before the start of

each school year.

On the Lord’s Day, boarding students are required to attend church with their host

families, but otherwise no school activities will be scheduled on Sundays.

We intend to open the Boys’ School on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and the

Homeschool Cooperative the next day, Wednesday, September 3. We aim for the

2025–2026 school year to enroll ten families in the Cooperative and ten boys in

the School, with ten other families as paid subscribers to our Online Academy.

For interested families, three informational meetings will be held at the Little Creek

Recreation Center (Foxcroft Drive, Winston-Salem, NC):

Friday, May 30, 6pm–8pm

Friday, June 27, 6pm–8pm

Friday, July 25, 6pm–8pm

Instruction in the Cooperative and Boys School is intended for children between

the ages of seven and eighteen. Enrollment in the Cooperative or School requires

of parents an interview with the Principal, and of Boys’ School students, an

aptitude test. For all students in either program, we require of at least one parent a

credible profession of the Christian faith, and of each student sufficient moral

character and natural ability for the intended course of study. The Principal and

Board reserve the right to deny enrollment to any family or student, as well as to

revoke it at any time, solely at their own discretion.

After acceptance, enrollment is secured by paying the first month’s tuition.

The Homeschool Cooperative requires a non-refundable tuition of $150 per month

per family, paid before the first meeting of each month. The provision of books,

school supplies, travel costs, meals, and other necessary expenses is the

responsibility of each family. One parent must be present with students at all

times, and parents will be asked to assist the teachers during classes and trips.

For enrolled families with children under age seven, free childcare is offered

during class hours.

The Boys’ School requires a non-refundable tuition of $900 per month per

student, paid before the first school day of each month. Boys’ School students are

required contribute their own work to the maintenance of the Academy. The

provision of books, school supplies, travel costs, meals, and other necessary

expenses is the responsibility of each student’s family. Scholarships may be

available for boys who show particular promise or need.

For Boys’ School boarding students, fees for room and board will be arranged

privately with local families.

The Online Academy offers live-streams and recordings of Chapel services and

Bible and theology classes for free. All other classes can be accessed by livestream

or recording for a flat fee of $100 per family per month.
